Jenny Davidson

She was named by The BBC as one of the 2018 100 Women who Inspire and Influence the World. Ms. Davidson was recognized for her work as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Placer County. She was also recognized by Sorpoptimist International of the American River and was a recipient of the Ruby Award, Jenny Davidson has been in the nonprofit field serving high-risk families since 1999. She has managed a family resource center, worked in eligibility for county, state, and federal assistance programs, and assisted victims of violence at Child Protective Services and domestic violence/rape crisis centers. Ms. Davidson has a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

Jenny serves on the First 5 Placer Commission. Ms. Davidson is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Citizen’s Academy and is an active member of the FBI Citizen’s Academy Alumni. She is a graduate of Leadership Rocklin and serves on the Steering Committee. She participated for several years in the Homeless Resource Council of the Sierra’s Board as Vice President and as the voice for victims of violence. Jenny has been featured by Style Magazine and quoted in Women’s Health Magazine.

Ms. Davidson is the CEO/Executive Director of Stand Up Placer serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Placer County, California. Stand Up Placer was chosen as Nonprofit of the Year for District 6 by Assemblyman Kevin Kiley.

In her spare time, Jenny enjoys participating in an Improv Comedy Group, hanging out with her three adult sons, and is an adamant proponent of the oxford comma and proper use of the words there, they’re, and their.
